Fabric or Leather – Which Sofa is Best For Me?
When choosing a new sofa, a good place to start is to decide whether to buy fabric or leather.
To help you choose, we’ve put together the pros and cons of fabric sofas and leather sofas, hoping to help you make your decision! Read on to find out which sofa is best for you.
Style
Interior design fashion changes frequently, and what looks trendy now may not look so good one year from now! With that in mind, it might be worth choosing a timeless leather sofa that won’t feel dated for more than a decade to come.

Comfort

One complaint about leather sofas is that they sometimes get a little hot and sticky in the summer, and then cold and inaccessible in the winter.

But the fabric sofa is a very warm choice in the winter, and in the summer it is more breathable and absorbs sweat.
Care
If you have a busy family and children, then leather can be easier to clean because anything spilled can be wiped off with a cloth. And leather will be more wear resistant, we recommend family use.

If you have pets, then we don’t recommend letting them snooze on your leather couch because their claws can scratch and leave marks. If you’re an animal lover, like us, then we know that hair stuck in fabric can drive you crazy, but a quick weekly vacuuming should remove any trace of your furry friend and make your couch look like new!
But the disadvantage of cloth sofa is that it is easy to leave marks…But you can choose some technological fabrics to resist some liquids and scratches👍
Cost
After considering everything else, perhaps the only thing to consider is cost. A leather sofa is much more expensive, but it also has a much longer lifespan, so it’s more of an investment item that will stand the test of time.
